“All of us are going to be asked deeper questions of our lives and the meaning of our lives and how we can contribute and I think there’s a quality of surrender or service that’s going to be asked of coaches, facilitators, leaders, everybody who wants to contribute. There is going to be a collective bowing down that is required because the next steps won’t be so obvious.”

“If we don’t really use this particular time as a time of profound healing… slow down to really listen to the pain that we couldn’t hear before across very different world views we are forfitting a gift. This is a kaleidoscope moment in history where all of a sudden the veil is lifted and we are being invited to see a lot of what we couldn’t see before. I think there is going to have be a phase of looking and listening before right action will reveal itself. There may be things to do in the interim, but the worst danger in my mind is rushing too quickly to policy and procedure and taking steps that will make us feel better but in the end will not actually be healing ones. There won’t be a healing movement because we won’t have taken the time to let the gravity and the severity of what is happening now, happen. We need to expand our ability to tolerate, witness and hold each other’s pain and only when we do that do we have the possibility of a natural arising of a new intelligence and the organic unveiling of what are skillful means.”

“Our organizational systems are broken because we are in a hurt world. If we move now to create new systems from the same consciousness of that hurt and we don’t do the personal healing work that is required to invoke, imagine and abide in something else, we are going to reinvent the same thing. That is my concern. This is where I think the personal and the collective start to dance together in a tango. If we want a different set of systems, then we have to do our own personal healing work and family healing work and communal healing work which will then naturally arise a healthier way of operating together and from there we organically create organizations that are more honoring of human rhythm, human relationship, human diversity, and the proper place of Humanity in the family of things.”

“We are refining ourselves to be even purer instruments of the qualities of kindness, of patience, of compassion – those are the diamonds we are here polishing in ourselves so that we can be agents of those qualities out in society. There is a kind of surrender or a quality of willingness that allows healing to happen in an accelerated manner. I am sure you’ve seen this in your own work with clients, it can appear that what is happening in front of you is miraculous because the change process is sped up and that speed comes from a quality of higher intelligence moving through the field and through you. So you practice creating inner and group coherence and invoking blessing that higher intelligence is capable of washing away great pain and fear and bringing in a wave of reconciliation and restoration. That is why in this particular practice of transformational work you have to do your healing work, you have to do your psychological work, you have to do your bodywork, because your clarity and purity is the instrument of their possibility; your degrees of inner freedom beckon their unfinished unconscious content to surface for examination and healing; and to the degree that you have integrated your own hurt, fears, and wounds of your personal, family and ancestral past you are that much more available to perceive acutely, act emergently, and intuitively inspire other’s trust and openness.”
